The Community at Rockhill and the Lutheran Community at Telford, both Grace Inspired communities, celebrated their Volunteers at a joint luncheon Thursday, April 13. Over 80 people attended the event, which was held on the Telford campus. Alyssa Guers, director of development; Mandi Schultz, volunteer coordinator; and Dan McKee, CEO and president, welcomed the volunteers. Telford’s in-house culinary team provided a full buffet meal. In keeping with the spirit of the day, 13 staff members from both communities and the parent company volunteered to serve at the event. Between the two campuses 140 people volunteered over 5,800 hours in the 2022 calendar year. View Photos of the Event!
As first expressed by Aesop, the Greek storyteller, “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.”
These words of wisdom still hold true with our volunteers. Among those 140 men and women, some served over 500 hours, and some served a single hour. Each impacted someone in our community. We thank them for that service.
These volunteers serve in a variety of aspects, including:
– Pet Therapy
– Activities volunteers (Personal Care and Health Care)
– Chapel Service Assistance
– Friendly visitors
– Resident Council
– Corporate Service Committees (finance, fund, advisory)
– Board of Directors
