Emergency Preparedness Drill

The Community at Rockhill conducted an Emergency Preparedness Drill on Saturday, September 25.

State regulations require Annual emergency preparedness drills for long term care facilities. These drills typically involve first responder teams from the surrounding community.

This year’s drill was a larger scale operation involving eight local fire companies. These companies were  Sellersville, Telford, Souderton, West End Quakertown, Tylersport, Trumbauersville, Perkasie and Silverdale. Area police departments and ambulance providers also particpated

Drills are vital training

Emergency Preparedness drills are vital in training our staff on appropriate and timely responses to unforeseen emergency situations. They enable us to put forth our best efforts to protect the population that we serve on our campus. These drills are also indispensable tools for first responders, allowing them to continuously hone their specialized skill set in order to keep community members, as well as themselves, safe.
