Find the supportive environment you need.
At Rockhill, our Personal Care residences (formerly known as Assisted Living) encourage and empower residents to maintain the highest level of independence possible, while assuring their safety and comfort as they receive care.
Both friendly neighborhoods offer social opportunities.
The events calendar features over 100 activities each month. Opportunities abound to pursue existing interests or cultivate new ones … from yoga to quilting, mindfulness meditation to tai chi, book clubs to trivia competitions (any currently activities are following all COVID safety protocols).
All residents receive three balanced meal per day.
Your loved one can indulge old favorites or explore new treats while enjoying this amenity of daily meals. In addition, all residents receive weekly housekeeping, weekly linen service, medication administration, all utilities including cable and 24-hour care and security.
In addition, our Personal Care program affords residents assistance with daily living activities as needed—from showering to medication supervision.
What is the difference between Personal Care and Assisted Living?
Prior to 2011 in Pennsylvania, the terms Assisted Living and Personal Care were generally interchangeable. Communities used both terms to describe one care level. This level was for people who wished to live independently but needed added help with activities of daily living. However, in 2011, the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare Office of Long-Term Living began licensing Assisted Living facilities and Personal Care residences separately.
According to the Office of Long-Term Living, Assisted Living residences are different from Personal Care homes in 3 ways: concept, construction, and level of care. However, both personal care residences and assisted living facilities design programs to meet individual needs. As a Personal Care residence, we offer higher level of services within our Life Plan Community.
